Five Fives is a lush, richly layered celebration of nature, symbolism, and imagination. Flowers, foliage, curling vines, ornamental forms, and the recurring figure 5 weave together in an abundant visual landscape that feels at once playful, mysterious, and deeply personal.

Created and revisited over a two-year period, from 2024 to 2026, the work reveals its evolution through layers of acrylic, pastel, and ink. Saturated reds, pinks, greens, turquoise, and luminous gold move across the canvas, while intricate marks and tactile surfaces invite the eye to wander and discover hidden details.

The title Five Fives draws attention to the repeated numeral woven into the composition, adding an element of rhythm, repetition, and symbolism to this fantastical garden. Like the painting itself, the fives seem to emerge, disappear, and reappear among the organic forms.
