Growing Peace is a deeply personal meditation on healing, hope, and the resilience of the human spirit. A serene figure emerges from an ornate vessel, crowned with an abundant garden of expressive blossoms that symbolize renewal, compassion, and the endless possibility of growth. Every flower, leaf, and flourish reflects the belief that peace begins within and blossoms outward into the world around us. Rendered in vibrant layers of acrylic, ink, soft pastel, and mixed media, the painting invites the viewer to slow down and discover new details with every encounter. The rich textures and luminous color palette create a sense of movement and vitality, while the symbolic imagery—including the Star of David adorning the vessel—honors heritage, identity, and the enduring strength found in our shared humanity. Part of Sherri Ehrlich’s Blossom Dearie series, Growing Peace embodies the artist’s signature fusion of expressive florals, storytelling, and contemporary symbolism. It is both a celebration of beauty and an invitation to cultivate understanding, kindness, and connection in an ever-changing world.
